Mixed-fuel biomass for the Philippines
DP CleanTech, Global Green Power PLC Corporation (GGPC) and Pöyry Energy Inc have signed an agreement for the delivery of two biomass power plants to the Philippines.
DP CleanTech has signed agreements for the delivery of two 17.5 MW multi-fuelled biomass boiler islands to be located in Iloilo and Nueva Ecija, as well as a letter of intent (LoI) for another 35 MW plant in Bukidnon, in the Philippines.
The biomass power plants will be fuelled with agricultural waste and be grid connected.
Kai Jiang, DP CleanTech Chairman, says: “We are very excited about the GGP project as they share our vision for the future of biomass in recognising the need for scale in order to accelerate the adoption of biomass as a key energy source in the Philippines”
